About Us

Knox Child Development Center serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and their families. Based at Knox Church, we strive to provide children with emotional, physical, spiritual and academic foundations. This enhances self-esteem, confidence and enthusiasm throughout their lives.

Our Communications

We use the app, Smartcare, to document your child’s day, delivering progress reports, milestones, news and photos.

 

Dana Outler

Director

Dana Outler has 17 years of experience in early childhood education. She has a deep-rooted passion for children, which began at an early age while her mother worked in the children’s nursery at the small Christian Church they attended in Fontana, KS. She has spent her career working with children, starting as an in-home provider and progressing to managing both private and corporate childcare centers.

Outside of her professional life, Dana is a proud wife of 23 years, mother to six children, and grandmother to eight. She enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and cooking, especially for her family, with whom she cherishes spending quality time. Surrounded by an abundance of love and support, Dana remains committed to her lifelong passion for learning and nurturing children.

Assistant Director

Emily Pedersen — Ms. Emily — is second in command at Knox Child Development Center. She is working on a child development associate’s degree. She and her husband, Aaron, have a daughter.

Emily has been working with kids at Knox Child Development Center since 2005.
